Bjorn Fortuin, Connor Esterhuizen, Kwena Maphaka and Jordan Hermann inspired the Proteas to a convincing victory in their final match of the tour against Namibia.
The hosts had first use of the pitch but were immediately put under pressure by a new-ball partnership of Corbin Bosch and Kwena Maphaka. Bosch struck early, removing Michael van Lingen (2) in the fourth over with Namibia on seven runs. Maphaka followed shortly afterwards, dismissing Jan Frylinck (2).
With Namibia reduced to 19 for 2, Alexander Busing-Volschenk and Louren Steenkamp (23) steadied the innings with a 53-run partnership. Their stand was eventually broken by Bjorn Fortuin, before Volschenk was run out by Nqobani Mokoena just one run later, leaving Namibia on 73 for 4.
The Namibian middle and lower order continued to struggle against the South African attack, with wickets falling at regular intervals. The only other significant partnership came at the end of the innings, when Zane Green (33) and Max Heingo (20) added 31 runs for the tenth wicket.
Maphaka ended the partnership by dismissing Green, resulting in Namibia being bowled out for 156 inside 37 overs. Proteas captain Fortuin was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 33. Nqaba Peter and Maphaka claimed two wickets each, while Bosch took one. Chasing 157 for victory, the Proteas openers were ruthless, racing to 150 in just 126 balls.
Jordan Hermann led the charge with a superb 77 off 59 balls, while Connor Esterhuizen remained unbeaten on 68 from 67 deliveries to guide South Africa to victory.
Dewald Brevis, who came in at number three, finished the match in style, hitting a six off his second delivery to seal a comprehensive win for the Proteas.
